Cha-cha Dance Instructional Video

-- The cha-cha came to the U.S. from Cuba in the '50s and quickly became a national dance craze that has remained popular ever since. The Cha-cha has the tropical rhythm and the hip swaying of the other Latin dances, but has a very unique style of its own. You'll master the basic step quickly and enjoy learning all the creative variations.

Vicki Regan teaches dancing the way she learned…step by step…one move at a time. Everything is carefully explained and demonstrated for both men and women. You'll start with the basics, then work your way up to combinations and moves that are easy to learn, but are very impressive on the dance floor. You'll learn in your own home, at your own convenience, and at your own pace.

If you didn't learn a step perfectly the first time simply rewind the tape. You can practice alone, with a partner, or invite a group of friends. It's good exercise and great fun. If you're a beginner, ten minutes into this tape you'll be saying, "I can dance!" Vicki Regan has danced on Broadway and in the movies, and was National and North American Ballroom and Latin Dance Champion. She has taught many people including other dance teachers and ballroom competitors. Ron De Vito, Vicki's teaching partner, is also an acclaimed Broadway dancer and a former National Ballroom Champion. 60 minutes.

A reviwer writes: "I watched this tape after taking about 4 hours of private lessons on Cha-Cha. It helped me better understand the basics of the Cha-Cha. I also have a "You Can Dance: Mambo" tape by Vicki Regan. On both tapes, her insturction is well planned and structured for a beginner. Steps are explained and demonstrated clearly. If one's intention is to learn the fundamentals and go out and dance, the tape is very helpful. However, there is not much help on styling and details of the dance. Therfore, for improving on the dance you either need to take classes or wait for the advanced version of the tape - if it ever becomes available."
