Waltz Lesson 5: Left Box Turn

The Left Box Turn consists of 4 half boxes. With each new half box, both partners pivot 1/4 turn to their L. Pivoting eliminate “uglies” or awkward foot positions like pigeoned toes. Four half boxes put together constitute an entire Left Box Turn. Partners should end up in the same position from which they began. Align your feet so they are parallel to your partner’s feet. Your right foot should be pointed in between your partner’s feet. Take straight steps with your toes pointed straight ahead, either forward or backward.
